What to include

To help us investigate, include:

  • Your iPhone model, iOS version and NewToAU app version
  • The screen, guide or checklist where the issue occurred
  • What you expected and what happened instead
  • A screenshot, if it does not contain sensitive personal information

Do not email passports, visa documents, financial details, health records or other sensitive personal information.

Report incorrect or outdated content

NewToAU aims to explain practical steps and direct users to official sources. Government rules and website addresses can change. If you find a broken link or content that may be outdated, send the guide title, the wording in question and—if available—the current official source.

Common questions

How do I change my state, visa category or language?

Open Settings in NewToAU and update your preferences. Personalised guides and checklists will refresh for the selected context.

How do I reset checklist progress?

Open Settings and choose Clear checklist progress. This marks all checklist items as incomplete.

How do I remove my app data?

You can reset preferences and clear checklist progress in Settings. Deleting NewToAU from your iPhone removes all locally stored app data. NewToAU does not maintain a server-side user account.

Why does an official link open another app or website?

NewToAU links to government agencies and other authoritative sources so you can verify details. Those pages are operated by their respective organisations and their privacy practices apply.

Can support provide personal advice?

No. Support can help with the app and consider content corrections, but cannot provide legal, migration, tax, financial, tenancy or medical advice.

Emergency help

NewToAU support is not an emergency service. In Australia, call 000 for police, fire or ambulance when life or property is threatened, or visit the relevant official emergency service website.
